The Importance of Rest

Exodus 20 is the famous text that talks about the "10 Commandments." I have read them before; but I am just realizing the importance of one of them in particular. THE SABBATH.
Never before in my life have I been working harder, trying to accomplish more, or seeking more fervently to help people grow in their relationships with God; but sometimes all that "good stuff" causes me to forget how important it is that I rest.
Even if it's "good stuff" that's in my life, I need rest. The cool thing is that taking rest actually honors God. It's almost embarrassing admitting how little I have been resting lately; but now that I've taken a day to be refreshed, I'm remembering why it's so important.
I can't be effective without rest. NEITHER can YOU!
In Christ, I know I don't have to be a "rule-follower" in terms of when I rest; but I know how much I NEED to rest.
Mondays are my "Sabbath" time.
