City Church SUNDAY 1
So,
This past weekend, we launched CITY CHURCH; and rather than having a big service with intense marketing, we focused on LOVING one another and our neighbors. We had about 40-45 people, we sang songs together in the park; and ALL the neighbors watched while we sang on their balconies. It was awesome.
At our church, we want to be intentional about having services AND being in community. Rather than just inviting people to our service, we're inviting the community back again next Sunday for a community meal together in the park. YES we are launching our service next week @ Chain Reaction; but I feel that it's critical right now that we extend love to our community with no strings attached.
Wade took this great shot of us. Thanks for doing that bro. This wasn't everyone (some had left early); but it really was a great Sunday together.
