Lessons Learned on LEAVING a Job

Posted by Kyle B on 8/20/2009 10:48:00 AM in , ,
Here are a few lessons I am learning from leaving my job (a great job btw I will miss everyone).

#1. Relationships are #1. I almost could end here; but I won't. Romans 12:18 says "If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all." Straighten out bad relationships. Heal hurts. Leave on good terms (I understand this isn't always possible); but it sure better be our goal. Things can quickly get a bit messy... so let's make it our ambition to keep our heads above that.

#2. How you leave really determines your legacy somewhere. I am not saying I am perfect at this by any means; but as a whole, the leaving process seems to be more important for your character than any other part in the process.

#3. Bless people. Agree/disagree like/dislike DOESN'T matter! Bless people. Jesus says it. We're supposed to do it. Period.

Pray for me in this transition period that God might give me wisdom to truly end the chapter of the Crystal Cathedral in my life well. These people here are GOOD PEOPLE that have blessed me. Pray I can return blessing in my final week and a half here.

In Christ,

Kyle
