I'm @ the doc right now because I lost my voice... for a singer,
losing my voice can be quite an identity crisis. It's the loss of the
'one thing' that makes me different from someone else. Then again, the
world has plenty of singers, and many far more talented than I. So I
guess that puts my 'career' in a weird spot.

I am actively working towards something knowing that there will always
be someone hotter on the market, more talented, and better looking.
Then what is it that makes me unique?

It's Christ. He created me with a specific purpose. He knows my gifts
and talents and the ultimate purpose for them. Yet again, I got
wrapped up in the lie that my identify is in an occupation or a gift.
My identity, ALL of it, is in the Lord.

Thanks for the good reminder Lord... next time could You teach this
lesson without making me lose my voice? Just kidding, I know that was
EXACTLY Your point.
